Tiruvannamalai Social Service Society (TVMSSS) works across 7 taluks to empower disadvantaged children, women and communities through education, health, livelihood and community development programmes including cancer awareness, sponsorships, non-formal education and seasonal relief activities.
A participatory programme to reduce the incidence of cancer through community awareness, early detection camps and promotion of organic farming to reduce chemical exposure.
Ongoing ProgramFinancial support for 385 disadvantaged Dalit children each year: school & hostel fees, uniforms, learning materials, medical aid and vocational training to improve long-term opportunities.
385 children benefitting annuallyNon-formal evening education for out-of-school and vulnerable children covering basic literacy, health & hygiene, nutrition and life skills; over 750 children have benefited from this programme.
Ongoing ProgramAnnual Christmas distribution of new clothes to poor families, widows, children and people with disabilities — around 1,250 beneficiaries receive support each year.
Annual ProgramProject supporting 108 Dalit children in Theresapuram and neighboring areas with educational support and opportunities for further study.

Tiruvannamalai Social Service Society (TVMSSS) is a non-profit, non-governmental and voluntary organization registered under Societies Registration Act 363 of 1975. We are an official development organ of the Catholic Diocese of Vellore in Tamil Nadu State, South India.
We work in 7 Taluks namely Arni, Chengam, Cheyyar, Vandavasi, Polur, Thandarampet and Thiruvannamalai of Tiruvannamalai District. Our focus is on educational and socio-economic empowerment of disadvantaged women and children through various programs including Women Empowerment (Self Help Groups), Agri Sanghams (Farmers group), Health and Sanitation, Relief and Rehabilitation and Vocational Trainings.
To create a just society where the poor and marginalized, especially women and children, are empowered to lead dignified lives through sustainable development initiatives.
